For 147 years the Corbett name has been synonymous with quality, innovation and durability, in the heating and cooling business.
It all started with my great, great, grandfather
John Corbett Sr, who brought his family to America from Ireland in 1874 on theSS Adriatic. John's choice to become a stationary engineer unknowingly unleashed a long lasting Corbett heating and cooling legacy.
John's son
Daniel G Corbett, my great grandfather told stories of his struggles as a boy in Ireland, and how he had to carry a "clod of turf" to school, under his arm, to make a fire, to heat the schoolhouse. Innovation in heating was soon to make this practice obsolete and Dan was eager to be a part of it.
Dan grew up to found
DG Corbett Boiler Works, where together he and his father John manufactured and installed boilers, smokestacks, tanks and more with an uncompromising dedication to quality, workmanship and customer service.
Back then everybody in upstate New York knew about the Corbett's quality products. As family lore has it, the barrel use by the first man,
Bobby Leach, to intentionally go over Niagara Falls, was in a salvaged boiler, made water tight, by my great grandfather, Daniel Corbett.
Daniel's son,
James J Corbett, my grandfather also carried on the family legacy as a railroad boilerman.
James J Corbett's son, my father, Robert Patrick Corbett, served aboard A US Navy ship the LST  552in World War II. With the heating and cooling experience his father and grand father taught him, Pat was quite well suited to service and repair the air conditioning and refrigeration units aboard this ship, a ship that brought troops and supplies to every major naval battle in the Pacific theater.
Now, here we are six generations later and a lot has changed over the years. But one thing that has stood the test of time is
my family's dedication to providing quality heating and cooling products.
The most important day in the life of your air conditioning system is the day it's installed. Proper installation is the key to peak performance, efficiency and durability. We specialize in installing
